Fresh HOPE - January
To help bring Fresh Hope to the New Year, the churches in Tewkesbury are offering some professional skills to help people with their New Years Resolutions! There is a marriage enrichment course available, a parenting course, help with debt and budgeting, opportunities to learn to read, and a “prayer request” service.
Debt/budget advice - personal debt and financial trouble seems to be
affecting more and more people. If you would like informal advice on
managing debt and budgets then we have a couple who have many years
experience in helping people make sense of their money!
Big HOPE - Easter
HOPE ON THE STREETS - 10th-11th May
Million Hours of Kindness: It's the next BIG thing and the U.K. is going to be blessed like never before! This is a great opportunity for churches to break out and onto the streets, living out the example of Jesus. From giving blood to cleaning a stairwell, potential ideas are as diverse as the church itself! Any act of kindness can count towards this. You can log your hours at www.hope08.com
Thank you to everyone who took part on 10th and 11th May!
Over 100 Christians from all the churches in Tewkesbury got together to clear rubbish, mend fences and do other practical jobs along the River Swilgate from the Cricket Ground to Clee House. Eighteen bicycles, six shopping trolleys and lots of other debris were cleared from the river and a mountain of rubbish collected in plastic sacks.
